CAROLINA/CLEMSON BLOOD DRIVE
One of the largest blood drives in the country is held annually the week before the Carolina-Clemson football game. USC competes with Clemson in collecting blood for local hospitals and life-saving procedures. The annual blood drive is run by the Carolina-Clemson Blood Drive Committee, which is the second-largest student-run organization on campus. During the 2024 Blood Battle, USC collected 2,160 pints and saved 6,480 lives! Along with Clemson, we collected 6,228 pints of blood and saved 18,684 lives. The drive comes at the start of the holiday season when blood donations typically decrease, so our blood battle not only helps us beat Clemson, but also supports saving lives in a time of great need.
Roll up a sleeve and donate for the Gamecocks! One donation could save three lives!
All presenting donors will receive a free T-Shirt, a chance to win prizes such as signed footballs and basketballs (and perhaps a campus parking pass), or a wristband for local discounts and free food. Identification is required to donate.
Walk-ins are welcome! Additional blood drive opportunities will be offered throughout the USC campus during Blood Battle.
